Holiday Tree Gala transforms in 31st year. Tickets available now!

Each year for over three decades organizations across Hancock County deck the halls of HCLS with brightly-lit trees in a contest that showcases the spirit, creativity, and contributions of our community. Families peruse and vote on their favorite trees and engage in holiday-themed crafts and activities. Then, when the lights go down, The Library Foundation treats longtime donors and library staff to the annual Holiday Tree Gala at the Bay St. Louis branch. It’s an evening of giving thanks, sharing delicious food and drink, and, if you’re lucky, cutting up the makeshift dancefloor with Santa himself.

This year, the Foundation is putting a twist on an old tradition, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone aboard!

The 31st Annual Holiday Tree Gala will be open to the public with a suggested donation of $25 (or entry of a decorated tree to the judging contest). Your ticket/donation supports the Library Foundation of Hancock County. Individuals who have donated to the Foundation in the past year are welcome to the Gala without an additional entry fee. Participants in our tree decorating contest also get a ticket to the Gala, so be thinking about how you might want your business or organization to glow among our forest of holiday trees.

This year’s theme, a nod to the way transportation transforms life here in Hancock County, is “Y’all Aboard for a Magical Celebration!” Get your ticket at here and mark your calendars for what is sure to be an epic event.
