About Our Programs
HCLS presents and co-sponsors a range of exciting programs year-round for children, teens, and adults. If you are interested in being a guest presenter as part of any of our regular programming, let us know in the Guest Presenter Interest Form linked above. Some of our regular programs include:
GOOD to KNOW!—A year-round series featuring educational and informational speakers and workshops generally targeting adults and lifelong learning.
Authors & Characters—A year-round author talk series highlighting local authors, typically for an adult audience.
Summer Library Program—A seasonal learning program for all ages paired with our summer reading challenge and pre-school literacy program. We are particularly interested in local and STEM-related programs that fit the annual CSLP theme.
HCLS FAN-FEST—An annual, one-day library mini-con celebrating pop culture fandoms. The large-scale event seeks local authors, particularly genre-fiction and comic book creators, and presenters for panels on a range of topics like video games, RPGs, television and film fandoms, and cosplay.
We are excited to hear from anyone with a passion and expertise to share with the community!
